Every February 1st, comics artists and creators come together to make a comic every hour of their day to document their lives. This day is called Hourly Comic Day!
It’s interesting to participate in and also catch up with! Comics sure take time. Speed and not disrupting your workflow is a hard thing to do while creating comics every hour. It’s also fascinating to observe how other comic artists spend their time. I always love that we have varied times we wake up and varied work schedules. One thing I take away from Hourly Comic Day each year is that to be creative means filling your cup with non-work activities. Comics creators don’t have linear work days and I always appreciate seeing other creators nontraditional work schedules.
This is a bonus post for February! It’s outside of my regular schedule.
I’m working in a Handbook square sketchbook with a Zebra brush pen in fine and medium. The image below is of the exact pens I’ve been using all day (I scanned them).
