Thoughts from the co-author and illustrator of a banned book.
My friend Karen and I co-wrote and I illustrated Go with the Flow, a graphic novel about friendship and periods. When we found out it was banned in 2022 and with all the book banning across America, we weren’t exactly surprised.
I made a YouTube video talking about finding out our book was banned and my thoughts on book banning as a whole. This is a longer version of a speech I gave at the Colorado State Capitol in defense of the Freedom to Read.
Buy banned books
